Yahoo Local - Gets an update

As we said before, getting listed in the local search engines is critical. Consumers start their research on the internet first. So be sure your listed and rated.

Yahoo, the biggest is getting more interested and aggressive in the local business searches, they just completed a major upgrade; Yahoo drills deeper into local markets.

It's important and easy to get listed with Yahoo Local.

I can vouch for the veracity of your comments. Local listings drive a large percentage of our internet leads.

As a Chicago Fence Contractor that was interested in expanding into the surrounding suburbs, we turned to local listings and local listings ad placements as a means of targeting potential customers via the internet.

While many potential customers reach our site through organic search engine results, the local listing have a much higher conversion ratio.

The bottom line is local listings provide more motivated "buyers" relative to visitors arriving through organic search results, who often are looking for information on fencing opposed to looking for contractors to provide fencing.
